02 · What we finance

What we finance

Four ways to get an asset working for you. The same assessment sits behind all of them: what the asset is, what you can put down, and how your business earns.

01
A line of haulage trucks parked at a depot

Hire purchase & asset finance

Buy the asset over time and own it at the end. You put down an agreed deposit, we cover the balance, and you repay the principal plus finance charges over an agreed term. Ownership transfers to you under the terms of the contract.

Typically financed

Vehicles, trucks, generators, machinery, agricultural and office equipment

Suits

Businesses that want the asset on their own books

Leasing

Use the asset without buying it. We own it, you pay to use it over an agreed term, and your capital stays where it earns. Operating and finance leases both available.

Typically financed

Fleet vehicles, business equipment, solar systems, office fit-out

Suits

SMEs, corporates and institutions who need access rather than ownership

03

Solar with financing

Approved solar, inverter and battery systems, sold with instalment financing. We work with qualified installers rather than doing everything in-house, so the system is specified and fitted by people who do it every day.

Typically financed

Home, shop, office, school and clinic systems, sized to your actual load

Suits

Real estate

Rental and sales. We work on property with a clear cash-flow case — rental-income assets, serviced units and structured property transactions — rather than holding speculative stock.

03 · Solar

Five solar packages

Standard configurations rather than a quote built from scratch every time. Pick the one closest to what you need and we will size it properly before anything is installed.

05 · How it works

How it works

Four steps, and no surprises in the middle.

  1. Tell us what you need

What the asset is, roughly what it costs, and what you can put down. Two minutes on the form.

    Reply within one working day
  2. We assess

We look at what you do, how you earn, and what you are buying. Send the papers below by email, and we come back within 24 hours of having them all.

    Assessed within 24 hours
What we will ask you for

    Your business

    • Certificate of incorporation
    • CAC status report, or particulars of directors
    • Proof of business address
    • Tax Identification Number, or tax clearance
    • Board resolution authorising the facility

    Where you stand

    • Bank statements
    • A statement or letter covering any facility you already have
    • Title or ownership papers for anything you are pledging
    • Guarantor details, or a signed guarantee

    The people behind it

    • Valid government ID for each promoter or signatory
    • A recent passport photograph
    • Proof of residential address for promoters

    The asset

    • A proforma invoice or quotation for what you are buying

The same list whatever you are financing. Send them by email to operations@afritrustinvestment.com. If something is missing we will tell you what, rather than leaving your request open.

Afritrust will never ask you to pay a fee to have your application assessed, and will never ask you to transfer money to a personal account.

  3. We agree terms

Deposit, repayment amount, and how long for. Nothing is signed until you have seen every figure in writing.

  4. You take delivery

We pay the supplier, the asset comes to you, and repayments begin on the date you agreed.

06 · Who we serve

Who we work with

Four kinds of customer, and the same assessment behind all of them.

Small and medium businesses

You need a vehicle, a machine or equipment in order to earn, and you would rather not spend the capital to buy it outright.

Households and professionals

You are tired of the generator, and you want the solar without paying for all of it at once.

Corporates and institutions

You want fleet or equipment on a lease, kept off the balance sheet, with one relationship behind it rather than five.

Property owners and developers

You have a property with a cash-flow case and you want someone who reads the numbers the same way you do.

07 · Why Afritrust

How we work

We are new. So rather than claim a record we do not have yet, here is how we have decided to behave.

Integrity

Every charge is written down before you sign. Nothing appears later that you were not shown.

Customer focus

We build around what you can actually afford, not around what we would prefer to sell you.

Trust & accountability

We keep our commitments, and we take responsibility when something goes wrong.

Prudence

We only approve what we believe you can repay. Turning down a deal you cannot carry is part of the job.

Partnership

We work with banks, dealers, installers and developers — so you deal with one relationship, not five.

Five of the eight core values, translated from internal language into a customer's terms. Excellence, innovation and sustainability are genuine internal commitments that say little to someone deciding whether to finance a truck.

09 · Partner with us

Sell more by letting your customers pay over time

If you sell vehicles, equipment or solar systems, financing is what turns someone who is browsing into someone who buys.

We work with dealers, distributors and installers who want to offer their customers a way to pay in instalments. You bring the customer and the asset; we handle the assessment, the paperwork and the repayments — and you get paid up front.
